Frequently Asked Questions

1. About VR Exposure Coaching

What is VR exposure coaching?

VR exposure coaching combines immersive virtual reality scenarios with mindset techniques to help you change your response to fear. By simulating real-world challenges—like heights, confined spaces, or public speaking—we create a safe, supportive environment to practice, learn, and build confidence.

How do the sessions work?

Each session lasts around 2 hours, blending VR scenarios with mindset coaching and practical strategies. You’ll spend a maximum of 15 minutes in VR at a time—often less—followed by focused work on coping techniques and strategies to help you thrive in challenging situations.

Why VR scenarios?

VR technology allows us to create realistic, tailored challenges in a controlled environment. This means you can practice new strategies without the risks or unpredictability of real-world exposure. Click here to see a demo of VR exposures.

Do I need VR experience?

Not at all! VR scenarios are user-friendly, and I’ll guide you through everything to make sure you feel comfortable and confident.

Can I wear glasses or use my own headset?

Yes. We use the meta quest 3 that has built in spacers to allow room for glasses. Maximum Width: 142mm, Height: 50mm. You are also welcome to use your own headset but would need to download the required software that links in to a computer.

2. Who It’s For & What It Can Help

Who is this for?

This service is perfect for anyone aged 16+ with a specific phobia or fear, especially those related to heights, confined spaces, travel, dark environments, isolation, or moving into the unknown. Whether you’re looking to thrive in challenging situations or embrace new opportunities, we can help.

What fears or challenges can this help with?

With my personal interest and experience, I specialize in helping address fears and phobias related to heights, confined spaces, darkness, isolation, and travel.  However, our VR scenarios also caters to a wide range of other phobias, including spiders, germs, needles, and more. 3. Booking, Costs & Location

Are sessions always in-person?

Where are the sessions held?

At my home in Clearwater, BC, I host sessions in a dedicated living area within a separate suite. If you’re renting the suite, sessions are conveniently held here. I’m also happy to travel to your preferred location.

How can I book a session?

To book, send me a message or arrange a free discovery call. We don’t take automatic bookings because it’s important to ensure VR exposure coaching is the right fit for you and that you know what to expect. Payment can be made via e-transfer, cash, or cheque once your session is confirmed.
